Maris Large is a UVM lacrosse alum from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She started playing
lacrosse in 6th grade and quickly fell in love with the sport. In high school, she played varsity lacrosse all four years and was a team captain her senior year. She helped lead her team to their first-ever state championship appearance in 2018. During that time she played for the Xtreme Lacrosse Club out of Lancaster, where she also helped coach the younger teams.
After high school, Maris went to the University of Vermont where she was a four-year
starting attacker. She was named to the America East All-Rookie team her freshman year and was also a two-time captain for the Catamounts. She helped her team win their first-ever America East Conference championship title in 2022. During her collegiate career, Maris also coached the 802 lacrosse club team in Burlington, Vermont. She was the head coach for the 7 and 8th grade teams for two years.
Maris has always loved the sport of lacrosse and is excited to share her knowledge and
experience with the future generations of laxers!
